The Science
NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a molecule found in every living cell. It takes part in normal cellular processes including energy metabolism, where it carries electrons between reactions.
Research has observed that NAD+ levels in human tissue tend to be lower in older people than in younger people. That observation is what created scientific and commercial interest in the molecule.
